Salma Hayek’s Low Messy Bun
Celeb hairstylist, Robert Vetica styled Salma’s hair for the event in the photo above, “Salma wanted a look to show off the diamond Boucheron bracelet she wore as a hair wrap.” To get the look Vetica made two ponytails, one on top and one on the bottom, removed the elastic from the bottom one, braided it and repeated with the top one. Then he pinned the ends of both under the base of the lower braid – and then added the diamond bracelet – you can use costume jewelry.
Debra Messing’s Long Loose Waves
“Debra has a good head of hair – I worked with her natural curly texture,” says Vetica. To get the look tease the roots like crazy (using a rattail comb), gently fluff the sides and add hairspray all over.
Scarlett Johanson’s Sexy Poufy
For this bold voluminous look, Vetica back-combed her hair (lift sections of the hair and brush up and down from the roots to the ends and spray with hairspray). Next put on a skinny headback (with a flowe accent like Scarlett’s) or a skinny elastic headband that goes over your head. To put hair in place, coax it into a pouffy shape and pin in place (think moulding cotton-candy!).
Rosario Dawson’s Long Retro Waves
Vetica says he gave Rosario “Rita Hayworth curls”, to go along with her Emerald green retro style dress. To get the look roll your hair up with a big Curlig iron pinning each piece into swirls onto your head and let cool. Remove the pins and gently brush out the curls with a paddle brush. Sweep hair over one shoulder and smooth on some shine serum (just a dab so you don’t weigh down the curls!).
2009 Hair Trend: Long Bob
Long gone is the overly-hyped asymetrical bob of 2008, celebs are growing out their bob or chopping their hair into a sexy long bob.
This look is particularly nice when separated into piecey, long waves. Ask your stylist for a cut that hits between the bottom of your chin and the top of your shoulders.
Eva Longoria’s Got Grandma Hair
Eva Longoria aged about 30 years overnight when she showed up to the El Sueno De Esperanza Benefit Gala with Grandma hair! Eva recently chopped her hair off for her role on Desperate Housewives as her character Gabby and she was carrying it well until now. I think she went overboard with the curling iron and hairspray – I miss her beautiful long tresses!
Also her roots look very dark, which may either be for the show – or maybe the Bayby rumors are true?

The Hills Heidi Montag debuted a new chic look at the 4th Annual Pink Party to Benefit Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Institute. I recently commented how heidi need's to experiment more after her latest appearance and the MTV VMA’s.
Heidi slicked back her hair into a sophisticated chignon and brightened up her lipstick. I think it’s a nice change from her typical look.
Victoria Beckham’s New Pixie Haircut
Victoria Beckham debuted her new pixie haircut at the Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 show at Fashion Week. Victoria set off the bob trend last year when she cut her hair into a short, stacked bob – I wonder if her chic new cut will become another huge trend?
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.Celebs Are Cutting Their Hair Short and Sexy
Celebs like Katie Holmes, Sharon Stone and Rihanna at cropping their hair to a short and sexy length. The look is not only chic and sexy, but it’s easy to manage. The only products you need to style in the morning are a flat iron, pomade, and a light hairspray.
Here’s how to get the look:
Blow-dry hair using a paddle brush while pushing bangs to one side.
Use a hair pomade to shape and style your hair, and also make it look piecy. Only use a little dab of pomade, too much wiill look greasy, you can always add more later.
For a little lift at the root, gently tease your hair at the base using a brush.
Hold your look by finishing with a light hold hairspray.
